Investing in Community

At Hollow Brook, we believe connection build community, and community builds trust

While our work centers on helping individuals and families navigate their financial lives, we have always viewed our role as something broader. We strive to be a connector, bringing together clients, professional partners, colleagues, and members of our community in ways that create meaningful relationships and opportunities.

Whether someone is seeking guidance, looking to make a new connection or supporting a charitable cause, we hope Hollow Brook is a familiar place where people know they have a community they can turn to. Opportunities to support local organizations, strengthen professional relationships, and give back have created a path for the impact that can be created when people come together around a shared purpose.

Hollow Brook hosted the team behind the Unbridled Hope documentary at Coker Farm, bringing together clients, friends, and members of the community in support of an important mission. Guests were given a first look at the film trailer, which highlights the urgent issue of horse slaughter and the ongoing efforts to rescue and protect vulnerable horses. The evening demonstrated what is possible when people rally around a cause that matters. Thanks to the generosity of attendees and supporters, more than $60,000 was raised to help complete the film and ensure this important story can reach a broader audience, furthering its mission of advocacy, education, and awareness. We are deeply grateful to everyone who attended and contributed to the success of the event.

Our support for the equestrian community continued when we were invited to celebrate the volunteers at Pegasus Therapeutic Riding’s Annual Gala. Pegasus provides life-changing equine-assisted programs that help individuals build confidence, strength, independence, and connection. We are proud to support their work and look forward to volunteering with the organization as a team in the future.

We also hosted a Women & Wealth networking high tea at the beautiful Caramoor Center for Music and the Arts, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit cultural organization that presents live musical performances, mentors emerging artists, and preserves its historic estate and gardens. Bringing together accomplished women from a variety of professions and backgrounds, the event was designed to foster authentic relationships, encourage mentorship, and create space for meaningful conversations. One of the most rewarding aspects of these gatherings is watching new connections form and seeing women support and champion one another’s success. The incredible Gilded Age dining room was an additional bonus.

In an effort to connect outside the office and encourage healthy activity, members of the Hollow Brook team participated in the Katonah Village Improvement Society 5K, joining friends, neighbors, local businesses, and nonprofit organizations. Congratulations to Brett St. John of our Investment Team, who posted the fastest Hollow Brook finish, and to Riley Bazaar, daughter of our CEO, Alan Bazaar, who placed first in her age group.

Giving back has been part of Hollow Brook's culture. In past years, members of our team have volunteered with organizations such as the Wolf Conservation Center, supporting its mission of wildlife preservation and education. This November, we look forward to continuing that tradition through our annual GivingTuesday initiative, through which Hollow Brook matches employee donations to the charitable organizations that are most meaningful to them.

Experiences like these make clear that community takes many forms. Sometimes it means supporting an important cause. Sometimes it means creating space for meaningful professional relationships. Sometimes it means simply showing up for organizations and individuals who are making a difference.

At Hollow Brook, we are committed to continuing that work. Whether by supporting clients with their Donor Advised Funds, helping manage foundation work, supporting professional partners and charitable organizations, or showing up for our neighbors, we will continue striving to be a place where people come together, build lasting relationships, and find support when they need it most.

To everyone who joined us, volunteered, donated, participated, or contributed in ways both large and small, thank you. Together, these efforts strengthen the communities we call home and remind us of the value of connection.

At Hollow Brook, we are proud to support the organizations, causes, and people who help make our communities stronger, more connected, and more vibrant.
